New Route at Up Among the Firs (Murrin Park)

Post by JasonMLawson » Fri Jun 22, 2007 12:25 pm

"One Root Closer" .10a/b 20m pro from yellow alien to #2 Camalot

Newly clean right facing corner on the Up among the Firs wall just left of "Totally Clips". Cruxy start with quality locks in a steep perfectly parallel finger crack that eases in steepness and difficulty as you climb higher. the last few meters move onto jug flakes on the face. Finish on the tree anchor at 20m or continue and make the smooth and safe transition to the last few bolts of "Totally Clips" for a full value 30m pitch.

Please post your opinions on difficulty and quality ratings.

Enjoy!!

I did it about a week ago going into totally clips. The middle section where you transition out of the crack could use a little more of a scrub and the right of the start of the route where i found my self smearing a foot in some dirty rock. Crux seems to be the first couple of moves off the deck. Good fun though if you have climbed out that crag.

thanks
