Mad Rock Shoes

Post by Peter » Wed May 12, 2004 6:37 pm

I'm looking at buying a pair of Mad Rock shoes for hard sport/bouldering. Anybody have any info from people that have used them?

Which pair in particular where you thinking of buying? I've got the mugens and I really like them. They're a relatively narrow shoe (which fits my foot perfectly) and the heel hooking is rad.

I was looking at the Mugens as well. How many sizes down did you go and how long does the rubber last?

I only sized my mugens down by a half size and they still fit really tight. I have heard though that other people's mugens have stretched quite a bit. The rubber is really sticky, but they will probably not last all that long. There is also not that much rubber on the top for toe hooking. Overall, not a bad shoe for $98 but I am probably going to get the Locos when this pair wears out.

I'm a size 8 and I went down to a size 6. They've stretched out slightly so far. The rubber is super sticky but think on the upper part of the toe. It's a good investment for $98....
