Peace Climb - June 11, 2006

This is a call for climbers who might be interested in participating in a Peace Climb on the Squamish Chief on June 11, 2006. We are looking for a team of climbers that might be interested in climbing a route on the Chief and meeting up with 15 international youth that will be hiking the Chief. A peace ceremony will be held at the top of the Chief.

This event is the kick-off to the United Nations World Urban Forum and the World Peace Forum youth events and will be show casing youth in peace building and conflict resolution. We are hoping for this to be a big media event.

Anyone who is interested in joining us for the hike up the Chief is welcome to meet at the base of the hike at 10:30 am Sunday, June 1st. We are seeking a team of climbers to do the climb, but the more people that are involved the better.
