i'm going down to bishop in a couple weeks and i was just wondering what the conditions will be like down there. i know it will be cold but i was wondering if it will be snowy or wet at all.

also what are some good things to climb down there?

You've probably already left, but you should definately get to the Buttermilk, especially the Pollen Grains. Also when I came back from there people were asking me if I was crazy since I didn't get to the Druids, which are apparently sick.

drove through last week and the whole place was under multiple feet of snow. 395 south of reno was closed causing an extra 2 hour detour.

After we p/u herb from some guy hanging out at wilsons would drove to jtree for a week of bouldering and it was great.

Anybody heading to jtree with a pad should check out a newer area called the underground. It was well worth the approach hike to climb on some solid rock with actual holds.

All the info is in the new jtree bouldering guide.
