Toilet in Chek

Post by Peter » Thu Aug 04, 2005 3:19 pm

The access society is planning on putting a toilet in Chek, I am looking for some serious feedback as to where people think it should be. It would have to be fairly accessable as to dig the pit (maybe with a backhoe) but not too close to climbs, areas that flood etc. So what do people think? And if you're up there in the next little while could you do some research as to where a good spot might be. Your help is appreciated.

I think that is a great idea. A lot of the parking area has water flow, so I would imagine that is out. How about up toward the Crest where there is a pull out already there. Or how about along the path just before the shoot to kill wall?

While they are up there with a backhoe. How about removing the wrecked car?

I'm guessing your going to need a few different options to dig, cause theres going to be solid rock not far down in a lot of the options. Stay far away from the artisian streams . Nobody want's to wash their hands in shitty water.

I say across from the Foundation Wall, closer to the Shoot to Kill wall.

I would think that it would be in every ones best interest to get an engineer or someone like that with expertise in where to place an outhouse. It would be a shame to accidentally contaminate the water.

If they remove the car can we change the climb name from Bullet The Blue Car to Bullet The Toilet?

Or use their common nickname "Blue Rocket".
