To the spineless note writer at the Clint Eastwood crag!

Post by Axel » Sun Jul 03, 2005 5:20 pm

This is directed to whoever left the note in my box of cleaning gear at the crag:

We developed the "Clint Eastwood" crag for our enjoyment and for our friends. If we wanted to hear from opinionated bottom feeders like you, we would have put a suggestion box at the cliff.

A major part of the reason we started putting up climbs out there is to get away from hypocritical a$$ho!es like you. If you don't like what we've done there, then go climb somewhere else! Even better yet, pick up a brush, open your wallet and go and develop your own fu*k!ng crag!!!! Perhaps then we may be interested in what you have to say.

We don't mind constuctive critisicm but notes like yours just serve to piss off a lot of people who have worked very hard (and spent a lot of money) to develop new areas for people like you. If you have ideas on the way things should be done then stop writing nasty notes and start scrubbing!

And next time have the balls to sign your note so we can put a face to the A$%^#@!

[/i]our apologies to everyone on this forum for bringing up this issue here. I realize this forum is supposed to serve a more positive purpose but this person didn't provide us with the opportunity to direct this in the appropriate direction. We only hope they read it. Thanks

Axel Reinhold and Heather Sadler :x

Kudos to you guys, Alex, Heather. Nice work on your crag. There are those few who just love to piss in other people's Corn Flakes and/or steal their gear. Screw them! No need to apologise. :?

What did the note say. I want to have an idea of the level of mentality this person has.

They were complaining about a few trees that I cut down (in a clearcut) and a short ladder that I put up as an aproach to a ledge that otherwise required fighting your way through some nasty shrubs.

Apparently my methods are not "Leave No Trace" enough for them.

I think they overlooked the fact that this crag is in the middle of a clearcut. Not to mention that if I left no trace there would be NO Crag!

Lemme guess......they said: "Don't put this un-natural ladder by the crag that I wish to climb at with the hangers, and bolts, and the natural clean rock that has moss-less streaks, and no loose rocks, and all the trails leading up to it have been there for millions of years."

Typical. This world has become a world of complainers. Ain't never going to make anyone happy. They all want to have their cake and eat it too.

I wouldn't let it bother you. You'll always have people spouting off about something or another. Espacially when they don't have to face you.

you should drill a new pocketed 10c... that would really dazzle them.
