best bouldering for visiting SoCal Climber

Post by jim » Mon Feb 28, 2005 2:34 pm

Hi, I'll be staying at Whistler for week in Mid April (business) but will have afternoons off. Where is the best moderate bouldering? (V4 and an occaisional V5 is as good as I pull)

Thanks,
Jim

When you are in Whistler, go here: http://www.greatwallclimbing.com/ and pick up a copy of "Squamish Bouldering" by Marc Bourdon. It'll tell you all you need to know.

there's lots of high quality V4's in the grand wall forest. superfly, sloppy poppy, easy in an easy chair and black mark to name a few. the best advice is to get the squamish couldering guidebook and just go from there. remember that the talus dries alot quicker than other places if it starts to get wet and you can usually find atleast a couple of dry problems within a day of when the rain stops.

good luck
