loose rock on skywalker

Post by supafly » Sun May 08, 2016 8:38 am

As you approach the second set of anchors after the 5.8 flume pitch there is a head sized rock that is completely loose, in the little gully next to the pillar you stand on at the belay.

It would be great if someone could bring a backpack and put it in.. or make sure no-one is below and get rid of it.

You won't need a crowbar. Sorry I'm not around to help.

There was a big loose flake on p4 of Diedre yesterday too perched 25ft above the belayer. It moved when I grabbed it. TBH I don't climb Diedre that often, so maybe it's a known quantity that always shifts like that but won't be budged - but I thought I should mention it if there are trundlers about reading this thread.

Is the loose rock still there?

I would take care of it myself but I won't be back this summer. I became a dad last week and I have my hands full with a little one that inherited my attitude ;)

If anyone is up for removing the loose rock, I would be thankful.

Jeremy
