Climbing partner months of August/September. Big walls.

Post by MtTamalpais » Mon Jun 15, 2015 9:47 am

Planning on spending months of August/September in Squamish area looking to climb some big wall moderates in particular but keen for anything really. Just trying to pool some contacts now so I can convince myself to make the drive later in summer. Drop me a message if you'll be around thanks!

Hey trevor,

I'll be in Squam from early August till mid September. Totally up for getting on some big walls, I'm planning on dirtbagging it out at the campsite by the chief and climbing a lot. At home (in the UK) I'm climbing HVS and pushing E1, sport 6c+. I'm not used to this whole crack jamming malarky so was gonna boulder/sport climb at smoke bluffs for a bit to just get used to the rock and styles of climbing. Then go for the big walls! The grand wall should be in sight, what grades you climbing? I have experience on long multipitches and basic aid bolt ladders.

Give me a shout if your up for meeting up for some climbs :)

Hey joe stoked your game! Sounds like we're very much on the same page, I'm trying to dirtbag it & just climb as much as possible too. Get acclimated close to ground then hit the big walls. Realitvely new to crack climbing & aiding but I've been trying to educate myself on the logistics. I climb in the 11+ sport range otherwise. Just finished putting together a full rack as well. I'm 23 living up in the Bay Area. Send me your email & we can get in touch closer to august. Hoo-rah!

I was planning on bringing my 70m single rope, 10 quickdraws, 3 cams, and a set of wallnuts.
Let me know what the plan is :D
