TR Solo friendly areas

Post by islander » Wed Apr 15, 2015 6:50 pm

Hey all

I haven't been to Squamish in a couple years, but I was hoping some people could suggest some trad:
crags that are TR solo friendly where I won't get in the way of the crowds or piss people off
also have decent climbs that are worth repeating a few times to dial in my technique to maximum time on the rock and minimize walking around and resetting anchors

I climb up to 5.10 but would like easier stuff to do laps and build up my technique from being away for so long

Cheers!

Hey Islander,

The upper malamute might be a good choice, since you can start and finish at the top, makes it nice for TR soloing and usually isn't terribly crowded. By the sounds of what you're looking for, High Mountain Woody might be worthy of some lappage... nice and long too.

Some of the less crowded crags in the smoke bluffs can be good too, places like High Cliff etc.
