VOC Longhike Advisory - Oct 4/5th
Hey all,
Just a heads up the annual UBC Varsity Outdoor Club instructional weekend will be happening this weekend (October 4th/ 5th). We will have ~180 climbers learning to climb at different levels, from tying a figure-8 to trad-leading. We will do our best to spread out between the moderate ( <5.10-) Smoke Bluffs, Murrin Park and possibly a few groups in Area 44/Pillary so expect higher then usual traffic in these areas.
We will do our best to spread out within those crags and not drape entire walls with TR for long periods of time. If you're really stoked for a climb I'm sure you can chat up the instructors and we'll do our best to accomadate. With the weather as it is, I don't anticipate the moderate routes to be very busy anyways.
If you have any questions feel free to ask.
