CardiYak Rhythm - Yak Peak
New route on Yak, taking sustained slabs in between Reality Check and Hole in My Heaven, courtesy of four years effort from Lyle Knight, Gary Wolkoff and Rob Birtles.
17 pitches (some short), 11b if done all free, some cruxes can be A0'ed to reduce the grade to 10c, although Lyle cautions that without a short stick clippy thing there's a 10d crux you will likely have to do.
The upper pitches can also be done as a variation finish to Yak Crack.
The route crosses Yak Crack at the 8th pitch of that route, one pitch past where Reality Check crosses, and just below where the Croft/Foweraker 11a finger crack variation to Yak Crack heads out right.
