New Sweet Spot

Post by squamish climber » Fri Jun 06, 2014 11:06 am

So on the way home after a day of cragging with my family, - see this post - we stopped to check out this viewpoint looking across the fjord and Mt Sedgewick as well as down towards Anvil Island.

This is quite a cool spot. Someone has built a nice tree-house with benches and table -- makes a nice place to chill in the early evening on the way home to Vancouver.

The place could easily be ruined by slobs. There was a fair amount of garbage there so if you are going, do a good thing and take a trash bag and fill it up. Some people were camping there, which is not a good idea. For one thing it’s not private as everybody walking out to the treehouse is going to step by your tent. And that kind of illegal camping is going to end a good thing quick.

My hope is that the place will not get trashed by partiers and illegal campers.
