New to town, willing and ready to climb

Post by kloopy » Mon Apr 14, 2014 2:22 pm

Hello,

I am a 23 year old male who is relatively new to climbing and the Squamish area.
I am looking for a friend, partner, who takes this sport seriously and is looking to invest time and energy into a potentially great climbing relationship.

I have been fortunate to have been taught the basics of climbing by a man of excellent skill and knowledge and am now ready to venture forth and put to use my enthusiasm, and love of the sport.

I have enough gear for most sport climbs, including: Rope, Shoes, Harness, quickdraws, alpine draws, slings, prussecks, carabiners etc.... and I DO have access to a TRAD rack as well, but will shortly be purchasing my own for any multi pitch big wall ventures in the near future. I also have a bouldering mat as well for those who are interested. My ability as it stands is 5.10a-b, but have successfully climbed an easy 5.11a that is Kangaroo Crack.

My willingness to learn, to be taught well, and to take this sport seriously is my best attribute.

I am looking for friends/partners of any age or sex who are willing to learn, teach, explore, enjoy good company conversation, food, laughter, and the good feeling of being exposed on the Granite. Like I said, I am serious to learn and become a capable climber, possibly eventually leading into Alpine routes. For now I seek someone who can push me to become better while having the patience and presence to learn as we go together.

please feel free to email me at brwcunliffe@gmail.com

or text/call 250 351 5221

Sincerely, Brennan.
