squamish climbing cartoons

Post by Rock_Climber » Fri Nov 01, 2013 1:23 am

Some years back I recall coming across some comic-style drawings on the internet that the artist seemed to base around the climbing scene in Squamish. I can't find them anywhere now. Does anybody know what happened to them?

(p.s. I know this isn't really "climbing" but I wasn't sure where else to post)

They are by Tami Knight. Some of her cartoons are still in print, including "Climbing Tales of Terror"; PM me if you want her email address. Check out the long article by her in Alpinist 43 on Squamish climbing (sorry, no cartoons, though).

Get them while you can. Her cartoons are so good that they are becoming collectible and they are going to be super-scarce in the future. Her earlier collections are impossible to find.

Thanks a lot. It's a shame that I can't find most of them anywhere now. They're a pretty awesome piece of Squamish esoterica.
