Giddy Up

Post by 5.4 Slayer » Sun Apr 11, 2004 6:50 pm

10b???? I don't know Marc. I've redpointed 12b and fell on Giddy Up. (I'm having a hard time admitting this) Obviously my route finding sucks a$% but I think this is harder than 10b. Maybe stiff 10c, soft 11a??? Anyone else? 8)

Marc, don't believe the hype the route is well graded... These whiners need to work on their route reading abilities.

After I figured out which way to go I still found it way hard for the grade. 10c minimum, maybe 10d.

The route is quite fun but i would have to say probibly 10d (maybe thats because i'm short though)

I'm 5'11, I found the route to be about 10b/c. It's only the first few moves that are kinda sketchy, after that it's smooth sailing. However, I see how a shorter person would have difficulties reaching some of the holds.

I agree with 10D

Man, that thing is weird at the bottom. I don't do much bouldering though. Found the lower moves entertaining but requiring longish reaches. :)

climbed it today. Took at the second bolt, only to find that I was missing a hold. crused it the second time with no problem. I'd say 5.10a,maybe a soft 5.10b. Fun route! Top pitch of master OMD was great too(coming from a guy who f%$#ing hates slabs!!
