New sport route on the far left side of pink cliff

Post by ravery » Sat Sep 12, 2009 9:06 pm

I searched this section of the forum about this but couldn't find anything. Please direct me to the thread if it already exists.

Today I climbed a sport route on the far left side of pink cliff crag. (just around the corner from split beaver crag) It had 5 bolts, finished on chains.

It was a crimpy face climb that topped out with a short slab section. There were chains at the top. It didn't seem to be in the guide book. Maybe 15 - 20 metres ?

I'd say it goes at around 10d or 11a ? Does anyone have any beta? who put it up?

thanks!

Are you sure it was pink cliff? or was it the pink-colored cliff around the corner from the beaver as there is some new bolted routes there, we climbed the one on the left and thought 10+/11- it also had a free petzl biner on it!! Fun climb too!

Just a quick note;
I've noticed that some of the new routes shown in the topo's were chipped! Several of which have had the bolts removed.

So it is on split beaver. I think it was "poorly groomed". 'P' on the topo.

Thanks for the replies.
