$50 REWARD for return of 5 cams (top of Ult Everything 6/15)

Post by koshkii » Wed Jun 17, 2009 12:39 am

I know, I know, 5 cams you say??? It was dark and late and we couldn't reach the bolt to make the final moves, and weren't sure 3 were quite bomber enough :) Rapped off, climbed the variation, hiked up the next day (Sunday), lowered over the edge, and found our gear GONE... Some people think that's booty...we thought that within 12 hours it was still ours.

Make our day--we'll be grateful and dang impressed with how fast you climbed:) $50 and a beer if we meet up.

Thank you!

Heather and Kathy

wow, good luck with that, hope you get it back!

couldn't you have just lowered off your top piece and cleaned the rest as you descended? Why did you have to rap? (i.e. was the second halfway up the pitch somehow too??)

And as far as being within 12 hours... noone who found it could have known how long it had been there.

But anyway, good luck!

I know who has your cams.
Give me some way of contacting you as I do not wish to mention names online.

Yeah, was just thinking about the lowering off a piece part this morning. We had tried to climb Upper Eschelon (which was awesome but some of the pitches felt totally sandbagged, hence changing routes for the last few pitches). There had been thunder and lightning earlier, which was intimidating, it was dark, we were super tired and it was super late. We were not thinking totally straight. We definitely learned some important stuff that day.

Squamishmonkey, thanks a lot--my email is koshkii@hotmail.com.

Glad it sounds like it's gonna work out for ya!
