Moderate Alpine Rock + Mountaineering Partners
I've been climbing a lot of multi pitch trad around Squamish this summer and am looking to expand my horizons and get into the alpine. Climbed Escape Velocity on Mt. Habrich last week and it left me wanting more challenge and something truly alpine.
Looking to climb some moderate routes in sea to sky area to begin with. Open to ideas but have Sky Pilot - West Ridge in mind (4th class sections) as a starting point. Also hoping to climb Mt. Slesse - NE Buttress (5.9) while conditions are still good.
Comfortable leading 5.10 trad and building gear anchors
Have double rack, rope, bivi gear and access to a 4wd truck
Have some glacial travel experience, experience climbing alpine waterfall ice in winter (aware of mountain hazards) and am competent in rock rescue skills
If interested give me a text or call at (250) 200 - 2103 and we can talk about meeting to climb something in Squamish to get to know each other and maybe make plans to climb a peak.
My days off work are Mondays and Tuesdays so would typically be able to climb from Sunday late afternoons to Tuesday evenings
