tree-trunk-tiny-house things?!

Post by PatrickG » Mon Mar 02, 2015 3:29 pm

Hi,

Does anyone know what these tree-trunk-tiny-house installations near the Smoke Bluffs are about?

(They're in a lot on the right side of the road when you're approaching the smoke bluff parking lot having, come through the major intersection into downtown)?

It looks like a cool project- I'm curious about it.

Pat.

They are a public art project that was started over a decade ago. They are tree "books", which chapter by chapter tell the history of Squamish. They are composed of quite elaborate carvings and text. I'm not sure if that is their intended display area, or if they are just receiving their finishing touches there.
