Hevy Huups crag cleaning gear stolen

Post by squamish climber » Sat May 10, 2014 9:57 am

Some of you may have heard that Hevy had a harness and two set of jumars plus cams and an assortment of gear stolen in the Smoke Bluffs recently. This is a big loss for a guy who lives minimally and gives so much of his time to the climbing community.

Hevy has been the main force behind some of the best new routing in the Bluffs such as the Second Tier and Funorama. He told me his cleaning gear was stashed and hidden near Tunnel Rock. And the thief or thieves left a harness behind and took the expensive stuff. Obviously they knew what they had when they found the stuff.

I hope it’s returned no questions asked. Everyone should be on the lookout for suspicious activity in the Bluffs. And donating some unused gear to Hevy might be a very nice thing to do.

It is lame and thanks for answering the call. I would suggest contacting Hevy via pm or email and let him know. Thanks again.
