Yorkshire Clipper
Hey y'all, I put in a new route yesterday. Well it's kinda a new route, but it's also pretty much a bolt ladder. It's a sport variation to Yorkshire Gripper, you climb the crack but reach out right to clip the bolts. I placed the bolts far enough to the right that they shouldn't bother the trad weenies, should they wish to climb it on gear, but who would even bother now that its got 14 bolts to clip up as you go.
Hope every body enjoys the route, if you see me in town feel free to by me a beer for my contribution to the community.

Imaging how much funner this could be with booze and explosives
Re: Yorkshire Clipper
Awesome! I've been waiting for this. Can't wait to try it out.
Re: Yorkshire Clipper
Wow! Great news! I've always wanted to climb that route but trad gear is so expensive, not to mention heavy to climb with… The gripper always looked a bit too runout for me too...
As a suggestion, would you mind spray-painting some white lines on the good holds, like a perma tick-mark? I think that would make it less exclusive.
Thanks again for your great contribution to the climbing community!

Re: Yorkshire Clipper
what? no via ferrata? disappointing...
Re: Yorkshire Clipper
I've got an old extension ladder we could tie to the top bolt so that it would be open to everyone, including the dog-walkers in the bluffs. Maybe a bucket on a rope too, so they can haul their dogs up.

I can't believe no one got snagged by this. Things have come a long way from the old days where that would've sparked a fierce war.
