I need a Trad partner for mostly moderate climbing

Post by gixxersteve » Tue Aug 14, 2012 1:58 pm

I’m looking for a partner to climb Trad with.

I have a 70m rope, a full rack, I am fairly experienced and safe. I will be hanging out in Squamish until the 24th, then away for a few days, then back for another week. I’ve been out of it for a couple of months so I’m working my way back up. Here is my tick list (some already climbed, but I’m willing to re-climb): Snake, St. Vitus’ Dance, Rock On, Squamish Buttress, The Ultimate Everything, Angel’s Crest, Slot Machine, Cream of White Mice, Exasperator, Apron Strings, and Skywalker (plus any other suggestions)

I will be hanging out in the Chief campground. I have a little red Mazda pickup with a canopy, I am male, tall, dark hair. Call or text me: 604-839-0515 or email: gixxersteve@hotmail.com

Hi Steve
So have you found a climbing partner?
I’m coming to Squamish in the beginning of next week (probably 21th or 22th Aug) and I would like to go climb with you.
I am a 24 year old guy from Denmark, I have been climbing for ca. 3 years(trad 1 year).
I have experience from Scandinavia and the French Alps. I have led trad up to 5.8
I think that totally I have rock climbed 30 days if I count all effective days actually climbing. And maybe 25 days mixed+ice climbing + 15 days of regular alpine/glacier stuff.
+ the weekly traning in the indoor climbing gym, but I guess that, that doesn't count on the experience-o-meter :-)
I am keen on developing my skills more, am sure to be able to do so, but I wanna be honest about my skills. Some of the climbs you listed I probably would not be able to climb, even seconding, but if you want a partner for the easier ones, I’d like to belay you! ..
You can write here or mail jensmorup(a)gmail.com or text/call my Canadian number: 416 809-9018

Hope to hear from you
