New to Squamish climbing

Post by Azimuth » Sun Mar 04, 2012 8:04 pm

Hey everyone just wanted to say hi and thank you All for making this forum happen. I've found it very useful and am really looking forward to climbing some routes.... Im a rope access tech by trade , sprat certified and am really getting into rock climbing. I've been collecting gear for just over a year now and am finally ready to get out there. My goal for this season is to hit up the Clint Eastwood. Thanks again and look forward to reading more. :D

Welcome to the forum :)
Got a month or so left before the rain really starts to die down and climbing season begins, but you can still get out the odd sunny day before then.
Just out of curiosity, what company are you working for? I got my Sprat level 1 last October, and now that the rope access season is starting up again, I really really need a job. :D

See you around.

Yeah I did. There were about seven people in my group, but I only remember one of them, and that's cause he's a climber as well.
I haven't been to Sully's before, but I'm still in snow season right now. Hoping to get up to Whis this weekend right now.

Yeah those guys at cras are good stuff , I've been doing rope access for about 5 years now so I didn't learn much but it was still fun and nice to be actually certified now lol. I've never snow climbed looks fun though, maybe next winter ill get into it, sure looks sweet when they climb frozen waterfalls, next year though  I've spent probably about 2 grand on my rock load out right now and I still need a few more cams lol but what's money when you love the sport :D see you around
