I received an email from the CASBC this week about its upcoming AGM. I attended last year at the Edge Climbing Centre and learned a lot about the what the CASBC is doing on behalf of climbers. I would highly recommend anybody go and if you haven't done so take out a membership. It feels like this could be a busy, contentious year for access issues around Squamish such as access to the Zip and Ferret's Folly in the Bluffs and the BC Parks guidelines on new route development on the Chief.

The CASBC can speak with a lot more authority if has the membership numbers behind it.

Our Annual General Meeting will be taking place on December 11, 2011 at 7pm at the Sea to Sky Hotel in Squamish. There will be beverages and some food served. Will Stanhope will be doing a slideshow on his latest adventure in Yosemite and there will be the usual raffle for some great prizes. Please let us know if you WILL be attending so we can order the appropriate amount of food and drink. Please see the agenda below and note that there will be an election for our Board of Directors for 2012. If you are interested in running please forward us your name and any questions you may have.
