Climbers on Yak peak require rescue
The Victoria Rescue Coordination Centre used a Cormorant helicopter to rescue two mountain climbers on Yak Peak near Hope Saturday night.
It was too dark for a ground rescue so the helicopter was brought in after the pair called for help on a mobile phone.
A 16-year-old female and a 25-year-old male had to be flown to Vancouver in the Cormorant after they were picked up at 5,500 feet. The two were not dressed for the conditions, according to the rescue centre report.
