Onsight or not?

I was working this route that had an alternate finish. At the end of the day, after unsucessfully trying to redpoint, I decided to branch of to the alternate finish so that I could at least get "a tick". I did the alternate finish clean. Does it count as an onsight?

How long is the route?
How long is the alternate finish?
How much does it matter to you?
