Wear and Tear
This thread is devoted to worn out gear. If you have something that's a little worse for wear, do share.
I'll start things off with the victims of cleaning 35 pitches of granite.
First is my Grigri. Wet and muddy ropes are full of shards of granite, which can be rather abrasive. Notice the groove, with a sliver of a hole developing. I think I'll retire this soon.
Second are my running shoes. I use old, retired dynamic ropes, which makes for rather bouncy jumaring. The toe of my shoes take quite a bit of abuse as they grind on the muddy wall. My toes have been getting pretty tough from taking the brunt now that my shoe's gone.
I miss waterproofness too... I step in a small puddle and my whole foot is soaked.
Route cleaning is expensive enough as it is. So I make do.
Who else has something worn?

I put my first scratch in my Nikon D700 this weekend while jumaring at Neat & Cool. My camera was swinging too and fro from my neck and wacking into my gear on the harness. I was pissed lol. I am a gear freak and like to keep my stuff in pristine condition. I baby my stuff too much. Just can`t help it
