Just curious if you can rap off the top of the split with one 70m rope or if two are required. It seems like there were anchors everywhere up there the last time I was up there.

split pillar is 40m... fairly sure the rap after that is longer than 35 also. not entirely sure though. never rapped it.

I believe in over hearing other conversations that you can rap with a single 70 but it is a hassle. Better to take a tag line and get off faster and with more ease.

you can get off it with a 60 but a 70 will save you lots of hassle

a) rap off top of pillar to Split station or to bottom of bolt ladder, I can't remember if you can get to bottom of ladder with 1 60

b) do a really short rap (like 10-15 m) onto a station on slab

c) from there one rope-stretcher to another station, then you can fiddle your way down any # of routes on the slab.
