Mike's link 2

Post by Clive kessler » Tue Apr 06, 2004 9:08 pm

There is a new route at the forgoten wall. It is 4 bolts long and starts up Marty's unfinished project. At the 3rd bolt go left and finish up Jim's new 12-.

It's called Mike's Link 2

I felt it was harder than Jim's 12-. But it has yet to be confirmed. I would say Jim's is 12b and Mike's link is 12b+. Of course these ratings are by Forgotten wall standards and need to be confirmed.

I used slightly different foot work and thought "Mike's Link 2" felt like 12b

Thought J.S.'s new one was about the same.

I got on both (Mike's Link 2 and Sandford's un-named).

Mike's Link 2 felt a lot easier than Sandford's line. I'm going to say that Mike's Link is 5.12b. Its difficulty was like "The Reach Around".

Watched Marty and Gary on J.S.'s new route.
Way harder for anyone Marty's height or shorter.
(I'm guessing 5'9" or 5'10" and shorter)
