The road is being repaired now, the blockade is being taken down and replaced with a gate, possibly a tad higher with some room for some parking.

Apparently there is still some snow on the road, making for tough biking conditions but melting fast.

I was up the barrier yesterday, and as of yet there has been no road work. You still need some decent clearance and 4wd to get there.

Should be any day then, when I asked Faulkner yesterday he said it was starting now.

Robin Barley was up there today and said it had started. (May 8)
