This could affect a hell of alot of people and access to some of our favorite areas. Came across it on another board that I frequent and thought that another user group (i.e. climbers) would like to know that this is being considered.

A very interesting read. It could be that the provincial gov't is setting up a turf war between the forest and mining industries.
The best way to fight back would be to mail your MLA quickly and get him/er on board to vote 'No' for Bill 30.
Honestly, our economy is being driven by commodities at the moment and if this Bill were to go through, it would kibosh a lot of proposed mines. I don't see that happening.
However, this might be the motivation needed to turn more climbing areas into Provincial Parks.
