define "high clearance"

Post by ryan_boarder » Mon Jul 02, 2007 11:23 am

I called budget today to see if they rent high clearance vehicles... the guy on the phone didn't know what that meant and neither do I. Does a typical Jeep Cherokee have 'high clearance'?
If it doesn't, where can you rent a high clearnace vehicle?
What is the height considered 'high clearance'?

Or better yet... anyone with a high clearnace vehicle want to go climb Ashlu tomorrow?

Whether you think you can or you think you can't... you're right.

ya something like a Jeep yj or a Tacoma or something like that..I think they rent f250's ask for that but dont take the f150 as they are lower and more like a car in height, dont tell them off road use though.

Tomorrows weather is the suck anyways

also call the forest people and see if that road is open/passable, I heard its closed for construction..but I may be wrong
