Silent Menace

Post by brockt » Thu Jun 21, 2007 10:40 am

Anyone know details about what happened to the starting flake of silent menace? I'm guessing someone did the jump start and tore it off. Is the climber/belayer ok? That was a HUGE piece that came off. No too sure if the route is all that possible to do now without aiding the start.

So no heel hook for the first eight moves... That'll change the characteristic of that route.

Screw you with the Glue! why not just bolt a gym hold on or drill a bunch of pockets! If it don't go naturally, then leave it be! if you want to manufacture routes then go to the gym!

have fun at the crag....

Steve

PS. has anybody tried it without the hold? i'm going to go check it out this week! sounds interesting.....

Steve! I guess you never developed that kindergarten glue fetish huh?
Anyways, joking aside, iv'e talked to some people around the boulders who think it'll still go without the flake. It'll just be significantly harder. Not sure if anyone has tried it yet though.

You should keep us posted on how it goes for you though.
