Your favourite routes of Squamish

Post by Cloudraker » Wed Feb 21, 2007 12:54 pm

Since there hasn't been a posting in the forum for weeks here's something to think about.

What are some of your favourite routes in the Squamish area?

Routes take on a special meaning for a number of reasons beyond the physical elements of the rock itself. I've had amazing days just hanging out with friends climbing mediocre routes. For me the memory of those days elevates the quality of these routes.

Here are some of the routes that I've enjoy climbing over the years, not necessarily for the quality, but more because of the good times had in the past.

Skydancing
Dreams of Passion
Stem Gem
Sole Proprietorship
Popeye and the Raven

Calculus Crack
Squamish Buttress
The Climbers Must Be Crazy
Snake
Angel's Crest

Seasoned in the Sun
Exasperator
Peasant's Route

Feelin' Groovy
Alegria

Centrefold
Hairpin

Had some good times on the Brunser Overhang,

Clean Crack, Caboose, Penguins in Bondage and The Big Eave before
they shut the damn crag down,

and of course The Grand Wall

and for sport, Yellow Beard, Cut To The Chase, loved Mrs. Negative, From Beneath You It Devours was great but felt more like 12a (sorry Gary), Biceptual Lover is another one but, unfortunately, I haven't sent it yet.
