I usually just wind up climbing at the local gym. Hopefully when it starts snowing, hit up the slopes and do some snowboarding or snowshoeing. I'm buying a mountain bike this weekend, so as long the weather is decent outside, I'll be riding around everywhere. Drinking beer is also fun.

If you boulder, the season is just getting good. Yes. There will be a a bit of a break when the rains show up, but once it freezes, its prime sending time.
Similarly if you ice climb. Right about now you're dry tooling the backside of the Kacodemon boulder.
Then there are road trips down south. Its just starting to cool off enough to get in some great days in the desert.
Meingh..... you must be really busy, like being in school or something, to suggest that the season is ending.

El Nino = warmer and drier winter. And 2007 is expected to set records for all time warmest year. Expect to climb every month of the year this winter in Squamish.

That's not what the Provincial Climatologist told me today. He said it was gonna be drier.

My strategy is to toil like a slave during the bad weather, save up lotsa cash, and then take a huge vacation and climb for months and months straight! And on that note, time to head to work...

I say it's going to be as wet or worse than last year
I hate rain season. Let's have positive thoughts about the weather please.
I will be overloaded with work and school this winter, and so I am counting on skiing and a little ice climbing to keep me reasonably sane.

you guys are way to serious
I'm going to spend a few weeks in Peurto Rico.
the rest of the time will probably involve beer, wine and ice cream
I like to think of this as my training diet

ok, now you're officially allowed to say that.
"From Thursday evening to Friday evening we expect : 35-45 mm of rain.
Saturday, Sunday: Cloudy with showers"
this could be the first weekend in a long time where off-season fun is necessary.
maybe smith, it's looking prime
