British Climber coming to Squamish... 27/8-24/9!

Hello everyone!

I'm a British university student who is about to come to your beautiful country in less than a week to do some climbing, amongst other things, and was wondering if the very nice people here would like to take him climbing a bit? =D

I would really love to climb out there, and I've already e-mailed all the climbing related clubs I could find in Vancouver via Google, but I've not any firm replies, just "maybe"-s! And annoyingly, I never came across this website until now!

I'm 20, male, and studying Electronic Engineering at the University of Bristol. I started climbing before coming to university, and have been climbing throughout my 2 years at Bristol... I've also started lead climbing recently, but need lots more practice before I'm any good at it! I'd be happy to second, though!

I have the basic gear (harness, helmet, shoes, belay device) - but probably won't be taking my helmet out there as it's a bit clunky, and I have some protection gear too, but that might be too heavy to take out too, which is unfortunate.

I'll be arriving in Vancouver this Sunday (27/8), and will be staying with family for about a week, going on a tour around BC including the Rockies, before coming back down to Vancouver for another week before I fly back out (on the 24/9).

Think you can squeeze me into any of your plans? I don't bite, honest! Please do let me know with a PM!
