Small Is Beautiful repaired

Post by Yoyo » Wed Apr 26, 2006 4:06 pm

This is the leftmost 5.9 at Conroy's Castle/Chek, a popular beginner/teaching climb. Finally got out on the weekend and replaced the messed-up bolt at the top that's been there since last spring. Apparently the nut got loose and instead of tightening it, someone took it and the hanger off, and then some one else tried to replace it with 3/8" hardware which cross-threaded. (they're all 10mm bolts).
Anyway, all better now. Oh yeah, while I was there I moved the top anchor up a foot to make it easier to top out and rap off again, and make the climb a little more aesthetic. Fine positions and situations and all that... :)
