Does anyone know the comparison from the cobra to the mistral(spelling?)
Can you still buy cobras?
Are the mistrals any good?
Thanks!

They don't make Mistrals anymore. They came out with a new version of it but I don't think MEC has it. I haven't seen many Cobras around either, since MEC had its fire sale on em.

I love Sportiva shoes but hate the Mistrals. Go with Katanas and you won't be dissapointed.

yea the mistrals are really good. I used mine in halifax and they toe really well. Not sure if they still make them - I bought them off a friend of mine.

I have been using my Mistrals in the gym for about a year now and they seem to work fine. I think the key to getting shoes is to buy one that fits the shape of your foot well. The Mistrals are similar in shape to the Cobras and have a really nice heel. I think cobras have softer rubber and feel good on steep stuff where you want to get a lot of surface area in contact with the rock.
