i was wondering when the best time to go down to smith would be. would it be all right labour day weekend before i go back to school or should i just go to squamish?

also, where can i find a topo for all the climbs down there?

go to squish while the weather is good....smith is great though....i was there in april...and while its raining EVERYWHERE on the west coast, it was dry and bloody hot there.....right now its WAY too hot....the canyon is this wicked micro system of hot death....spring or fall i'd say....up to july is ok from what i heard....

Some friends of mine were there in early october. Temps went up to 90 degrees I beleive. If you get a nice stretch of weather then late october early november is damn nice. The nights can get extremely cold though. It snowed last time I was there.
