opinions on best squamish shoe

Post by Jpug69 » Sat Jul 06, 2019 11:04 pm

Just wanting to know what peoples opinions are on their the best Squamish shoe for mid 5.11 to hard 5.12 trad climbing. I have been rocking the 5.10 Pinks and the new Unparalell Upmocs. I am looking for something with some more stiffness to it.\

; any new shoes on the market to replace the Blanco?

cheers.

I use either a 5.10 Anasazi VCS or a Hiangle depending on the incline. Both work great, but the Anasazi has always been my go to shoe. Just a little heads up though, 5.10 sizing has been disappointing when Adidas got a hold of them. They didn't even release any statement or post it anywhere for the public to be made aware that they changed the sizes.

It really depends what you want to be climbing. If you do a lot of bouldering, especially with overhangs, get an aggressive shoe with a solid edge.

Update: The Hi-Angles will get the job done. Don't get me wrong, the Anasazis are nice, but with most routes inclined at Squamish you'd be better off with the Hi-Angle for sure.

Cheers from bathroom renovations mandurah

Update 2: I got a new pair of hi-angles and they suck! The fit was too far off from my old ones and I even had a hard time returning them to MEC. I can't count how many trees I've chopped for tree lopping Mandurah to save up for those. To say I am disappointed is an understatement.

Sorry, I can't tell you that cause I don't know, I knew a shoe company but they have closed their company. You need quality shoes and also the best shoes for your climbing purposes. cheers, Couvreur Lille.
