UBC VOC Event - Crowding Update

Hello Squamish Climbing Community,

This is just a friendly update from the UBC Varsity Outdoors Club that we will be hosting our biannual climbing instructional event next weekend up in Squamish (May 6-7th, 2017) where a host of people of various skillsets will be learning techniques for basic outdoor climbing up to traditional gear placement. Our group is massive, and will consist of up to 100 participants with supervision from approximately 20 instructors climbing in a variety of locations, but mostly focused on the Smoke Bluffs. Instructors are reminded to be courteous at the crag, including limiting the time that free-hanging topropes hang from climbs without use, and will do their best to work amongst the local climbing parties. Thanks for your cooperation on this one weekend to allow us to provide climbing instruction to our members!
