Lost Gear, i think near Penny Lane in Smoke Bluffs...
Hi,
i seem to have lost some of my climbing gear. I thought maybe i just misplaced it but i have searched all my stuff several times. The only place i think i might have left it is by Penny Lane in the Smoke Bluffs a couple weeks ago. My friend and i went out there just before dark to try The Snail and that was the last time i had it (we walked out in the dark and i think i accidentally left it there)
What i'm missing: An assortment of small cams; a couple (3 or 4) small Aliens and a couple small BD cams, and two yellow Metolius ones (roughly the same size as the Yellow Aliens), all small stuff.
I can't afford to replace them and now i can't go do the routes i want because now i don't have the gear!
Along with the cams, i also lost my Metolious Powder Horn (red/purple colour; it's a big velcrow chalk bag to hold extra chalk). The Powder Horn had my name / e-mail address written in Big Black permanent marker across the top (which is why i thought it would have been returned to me if somebody found it). It says "SteveTownshend@Hotmail.com" on the top of the Powder-horn. If somebody found this stuff i would really really appreciate getting it back! I'll buy you Lunch or Dinner, Coffee or Green Juice (i'll buy you a beer if you want but i don't drink so won't have one with you)!
As a reward (if someone finds my stuff), i can offer you a custom flight-seeing tour!! I work as a pilot here at the Squamish Airport and have access to a plane; The Reward for finding my stuff: We go flying around Garibaldi Park or the Tantalus Range or over downtown Vancouver (you, me and two of your friends; we can fit 4 in the plane). No questions asked if i get my gear back. Just a primo flight tour and Lunch/Dinner! Good deal!
