Falcons have been spotted nesting in the overhanging corners above the Flats on the Grand Wall. The Grand Wall route is closed above the Sword to Bellygood Ledge. Please respect this closure. Falcon monitoring will continue and the closure will be lifted by July 31st.

What about the the Underfling is that closed? or just the slab pitch of the free grand?

Underfling is open. I would add this is obviously an official closure from BC Parks.

Is the Chief pitch closed as well? In other words, is going to the top of the bolt ladder just below Perry's still okay?

Closure could be lifted in a week.

Senior park ranger Katie Chambers had some news on the Grand Wall Closure. She participated in the CASBC Trail Day on July 14th and told the crowd there that it looks like it could be lifted in the next week or two. The there were two chicks in the falcon nest in the overhangs above the Grand. One is gone :( the other is flapping it's wings and could be ready to leave in the next week. :) . So keep an eye out here and on the CASBC website for updates.
