I recently repeated a long time classic squamish aid line; Uncle Bens.

I put together this photo filled trip report http://thekidcormier.blogspot.ca/p/clim ... -bens.html

Enjoy the Sunshine everybody!!

Luke,
Wow, great old-school ascent with "bat-tent" style hammocks at bivies -- love it. Good to see aid-climbing is alive and well in Squamish. Nice write-up and photos. Like the one above out on the traverse.
Is there a topo you could scan in?

thanks for posting

You should get yourself one of the Kong adjustable fifis. They help.

Thanks Dave; Super stoked you liked it. I do not have a scanner to scan the topo, and I'm not sure how cool Maddalonni would be with me giving away a page from his 20 dollar guide book...

Which can be purchased @ http://www.mattmaddaloni.com/Guide%20Bo ... h%20BW.htm

Dru; I've never an adjustable fifi, but have been getting great results with my standard issue fifi.. Do you use adjustable etriers then too?

Thanks fishboy :) :) Its quite the complement, coming from an Aussie Hardman like yourself :P

I'm not too keen on the adjustable etriers, but the adjustable daisys from metolius are the bee's-knees. My lead speed is pretty much doubled on C1-2 terrain.

Thanks for the tips and the link kris, they look pretty cool, but I'm probably going stick with what I know, at least for now, as I am unemployed and just barely keeping the collections agencies off my a$%.

Btw is that your blue line fixed above bellygood?

Yo Luke, does your guide say the 1st real pitch of TYA is C3? Maddaloni has it as A1+, I tend to agree with yours...
