It's gonna be a depressing winter..... my board is broken, I can't afford a ski pass anyways, and all I want to do is climb :(

I would do that, but my board is delammed all the way down my backside..... I rode most of last season like that, tried fixing it multiple times, but because of the pressure points, it wouldn't hold. I'm thinking of just getting some snowshoes.......

Snowshoes are for people who can't ski.

Scoff.

Do it! I regret few things as much as missing an epic season and it looks like we are going to have a second year of La Nina-produced snowfall.

Eat ramen, leave the pipe empty, lay off the beer .. do what you need to do to get on the hill.

Dude - keep your ears open for the ROI (Recreation Outfitters) warehouse sale... They had a former affiliation with Option Snowboards and will likely be clearing out whatever boards they have left. Perfect if you plan to give'er the chop and create a splitty.

It usually takes place early November.

Also, keep an eye on MEC's gear swap bulletin board. I picked up a pair of G3 El Hombre skis with Fritschi AT bindings for $400 last year.
