Heart Fealt Thanks

To the person who took a dump on the second pitch of Millennium Falcon.

I realize that __it happens. I've been there! You have a bad 711 breakfast wrap, you are half way up a climb and all of a sudden you are touching cloth and you have seconds to react.

At least have the courtesy to lower below or lean over to the side of the station!

Nice! A few years ago I ran into the exact same thing on the top of the Merci Me approach to the Grand.

Some douche left one right on the side of the backside trail not too long ago...... Wasn't too pleased about that one.

I climbed 10 Years After a few years ago and our poop tube became unclipped and hung up at the top of the raps. We only noticed our loss when we hit the ground so it was too late to clean up after ourselves. I felt pretty bad leaving that sort of garbage for someone else to deal with. After a winter passed the same partner and I returned to do U-Wall and the poop tube was there waiting for us. It was sealed well but you could tell from a few feet away that it would be nasty if the hull was breached. We carefully escorted it to the nearest garbage can.

A few years ago, I was belaying off the tree at the top of Calculus Crack. Unfortunately, I couldn't help but notice someone had discarded a pair of heavily soiled men's underwear briefs nearby...

I can only imagine what the story behind that one was... :|

About ten years ago there was an incident of a well known Canmore climber having the same kind of emergency atop the Split Pillar. The offending coiler slowly mummified in the sun on that nice ledge until some locals finally went up with a couple of gallons of water and scrub brushes. ick.

Out of interest, whereabouts on the second pitch of Falcon was it? Not much room on that belay IIRC......

The moral of this story is before leaving the ground you and your partner practice this mantra:

Check your knot

Crap a lot

there's something else but i can't remember what it is... something to do with having the munchies?

How about taking care of the crap a lot part before getting to the base, if you do have to crap a lot at the base maybe dig a hole or put some rocks on top of it. Between the wasp nests & exposed climber craps in the forest around here this place is a minefield! Chek campers should be mindful of what they are doing to the area around the picnic tables as well, it's disgusting up there. Just sh!t in a toilet or outhouse before getting to the cliff! About 95% of the climbs in Squamish are within 10min of a sh!tter

aye, and that is the rub. But to ere is human. If all the pre launch precautions fail and the mission results in a spectacular Flight of the Challenger explosion on the heights, maybe mission control ought to consider a clean up

... what about, "Before you leave home pinch your wedges... And we can all avoid stinky ledges!"
Imaging how much funner this could be with booze and explosives
