Well you can camp at the end of the road below the Habrich approach trail, there is a clearing and a creek.
But honestly its way better to day trip with with bikes and a light rack.

Head up the road. When you come around the corner and you see Sky Pilot then you're entering the Shannon Creek basin. Keep going, stop to cool off at Shannon Creek, I think there's an old flat deck parked there (it's either an old trailer or might have been the bridge over the creek at one point).
The trail goes uphill just before the creek. Can't miss it. The clearing is a few hundred m up as I recall.
Looking forward to the trip report!

Or, hey, why not wait a year or two and you can take the f*cking gondola?

Drive to the top of where they logged last year if you have some clearance for the waterbars. After that ride/ hike-a-bike up to where the last spur road heads off left into the upper valley. If you're going to take camping gear I'd just walk the whole way. The ride is hard even with a day pack, but way faster. After you head off the main road, the clearing is actually almost 2km up the spur. It's a nice spot and right at the bottom of the very steep approach trail.
Take bug repellent, I hear it's a bit nasty up high right now.

Re: Habrich Approach Beta
It's a scramble from the top of LOE to the summit....no real beta - just walk up until you're on top

Yup. Just take note of what it looks like from above as you leave the top of the route. I spent half an hour tunneling around in the bushes a couple of years ago looking for it after we came back from the summit.
The forecast looks fantastic. Have a great time.
