Angel's Crest Totem

Last week when we climbed Angel's Crest I was surprised to see a really neat totem carving installed in the forest halfway up the route. It's a thunderbird I think.

What's the story, is it a memorial? How long has it been there? Was it fun hauling a log up the route?

Nice one Matt, in that setting it's a powerful guardian. It was a real highlight to see it.

2007... has it been that long since I climbed there?
