Base Canopy hung up the Trees Above the Badge

There was a blue base jumping canopy hung up in the trees above the Badge last evening. Anybody know the details of that story?

I saw the rescue chopper coming in around I think 2:30 or so. I was at the base of the Buttress with a couple other people (met Sonnie Trotter there BTW) and we weren't sure what the heli was there for.
Didn't know anything about until we topped out, but we were told he got blown back into the cliffside and caught in some trees.

FWIW, the story I heard (at least fourth hand) was that 911 / SAR was called but the jumper refused help and said he would get out on his own. Not sure exactly how, but maybe climbed the last few hundred feet in the Angel's Crest area, then called to say he was on the 2nd peak and was fine. Earlier today the chute was still there, but apparently he's heading back to get it.
